    Planning Ahead!

Pennine United Soccer Club are planning to operate with the Spring....which will become the Summer Soccer Season, so fees are accepted as usual.

We are planning to get clearance by May 1st and even if that is delayed, the 15th so we can easily reschedule our games. The actual season will be the same time frame, but starting at a later date. We do plan to add training sessions to the normal if necessary and we are speaking with our affiliate clubs to organize mini-camps type training for everyone.

While we have had cancelled tournaments already, we are speaking with other clubs to hold multiple club events to (mini-tournaments) to get as many games for the players as possible. We feel that once there is clearance, there will be a  rush to play games .......we aim to fulfill that need as much as possible.

We also believe that fewer families will be travelling this Summer, so the activity we provide will be a welcome release for our families.

As of today, GLC, GLA and CASA games, in addition to US Club and US Youth STATE CUPS are still to be played. schedules will of course change.....

but  until then, please stay safe....

    THIS YEARS MOST IMPORTANT GAME

    OYSAN - UPDATE

On March 31, 2020, US Youth Soccer announced a further delay on returning to play through April 30, 2020.  In addition, US Youth Soccer announced its decision to cancel the Midwest Regional Championships, US Youth Soccer National Championships, Midwest Presidents Cup and National Presidents Cup.

After much consideration, Ohio North has made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Ohio North Cup Series for both State Cup and Presidents Cup events.  A separate email will be sent to all registered teams next week with more information.

In addition, Ohio North is suspending all of our soccer activities*, all Ohio North sanctioned tournaments and all Ohio North affiliated activities through May 1, 2020 to align with Governor DeWine’s current orders.

*Ohio North affiliated activities include scheduled games, team practice/training sessions, or sponsored activities that are under direct supervision of a team official; or sanctioned local or national tournaments as a member of a contestant team (e.g., any activity that Ohio North sanctions and insures).

Ohio North will reevaluate the return-to-play date based on decisions and/or recommendations anticipated from the State of Ohio, the Ohio Department of HealthCenters for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and our governing bodies.  Our Board of Directors continue to meet on a weekly basis to discuss contingency planning and alternative programming options and our staff is still available to further assist you through email.

We will launch our new “COVID-19 FAQ” page on our website by April 6 to provide updates and to answer member questions.

We recognize that many are anxious to get back onto the soccer fields; however, our main priority is the safety and well-being of everyone.  When we can resume play, even if it’s for a modified season or during the summer months, we hope that all of our members will pull together and support one another. We are in this together.

We encourage all of you to continue reviewing our website, email communications and social media platforms for updates.

Use this link to the Soccer Education Page and watch at least one video every two days. LISTEN to the coach and his instructions. Try to understand how simple they keep the sessions!
