Club Philosophy
Pennine United Soccer Club is a youth soccer organization dedicated to challenging young soccer players on a quest to reach their highest potential. Pennine relies on the "three A's" to accomplish this: attitude, application, and ambition. Pennine is composed of administrators and coaches that are kind, compassionate, and open to change and commitment. The staff is competitive, determined, and dedicated to fostering a desire to learn that will challenge each child to reach high expectations. For an athlete to get the most out of a club, it must be organized and structured accordingly. Pennine has created an atmosphere that best strengthens each child's weaknesses. Athletes are put in a positive environment that promotes personal growth and team unity.
Pennine furthers the growth of self-esteem with firm and specific rules and guidelines. It is pertinent to set specific boundaries and have consistent consequences. Since boundaries are clearly defined, learning will be able to take place while the athlete engages in meaningful activities and training sessions. While developing a positive self-image, Pennine is also instilling an appreciation for personal health and fitness. In an organized and competitive environment, these young athletes gain positive experiences on and off the field. Each child has the opportunity to become better technically and tactically as a player. The athlete also gains the experience of working as a team and learns how to manage the successes and disappointments with their peers. In doing so, the children develop social skills with others on the field as well as adult coaches and parents in outside situations. All of these are important factors in the maturing of a young athlete.
Each of the coaches at Pennine United Soccer Club are extremely supportive and eager to help your child excel. Training sessions incorporate a variety of ideas with an open ended curriculum that is used to motivate each child. The administration and coaches work cooperatively with all athletes to assess and critique their playing style and ability, providing feedback on a regular basis. Pennine United Soccer Club prides itself on providing a positive environment to play premier soccer. Our ultimate goal as a club is to motivate each child to have a love for the game of soccer.
